SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Alex Lang, 31, of Sioux Falls, has been convicted and sentenced for Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance, U.S. Attorney Ron Parsons announced.

Lang received a sentence of 160 months in federal prison, five years of supervised release, a fine, and a $100 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund. He was indicted by a federal grand jury in April 2025 and pleaded guilty on September 9, 2025.

Authorities say Lang conspired with others to distribute approximately seven pounds of methamphetamine in Sioux Falls. The drugs were sourced from a co-conspirator in Arizona and sold locally.

This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide Department of Justice initiative targeting illegal drug distribution, transnational criminal organizations, and violent crime to protect communities.
