Alejandro Acosta Oliveros Arrested for Cat Killings in Orange County

Santa Ana Man Confesses to Serial Cat Killings and Kidnapping

by Amelia Crawford

A 45-year-old man from Santa Ana, identified as Alejandro Acosta Oliveros, has been arrested on suspicion of killing and kidnapping several cats in Orange County. Santa Ana Police confirmed his arrest on Wednesday after serving a search warrant at his residence on Wilshire Avenue.

In a video shared by the Santa Ana Police Department, Oliveros, described as a “serial cat killer,” admitted to his actions. However, authorities are still working to determine the full extent of his crimes, including the exact number of cats involved.

The investigation started when local residents raised concerns about a man luring cats from their homes. Surveillance footage showed Oliveros taking Clubber, a 10-month-old Bengal Lynx cat, on March 21 in Westminster. Although Clubber was later returned to his owners, Oliveros had managed to evade capture until now.

Disturbing reports emerged as neighbors shared online posts about Oliveros’ violent acts. One post described how the suspect allegedly tied up a cat before taking it away, while another report claimed that Oliveros injected a cat with a substance, leading to its death.

As of now, the investigation continues, and authorities are working on pressing charges against Oliveros in the coming days.
