EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Authorities have arrested 36-year-old Alden Arturo Amaro in central El Paso for allegedly causing a fatal crash while driving under the influence.
On Wednesday, October 30, deputies from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit located Amaro at the 4800 block of Alameda Avenue, near the University Medical Center of El Paso and Thomas Jefferson High School. Amaro was arrested without incident and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
Amaro faces two counts of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle and two counts of intoxication assault with a vehicle in connection with a fatal crash that occurred on May 21, 2023.

Amaro’s bond was set at $160,000, and he was released the same day.
