SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. — A Bullitt County man was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Wednesday for trafficking methamphetamine and fentanyl, Shepherdsville Police confirmed.

On September 14, Albert Sweet, 58, pleaded guilty to charges related to methamphetamine and fentanyl trafficking. He received a 10-year sentence with 50% parole eligibility for fentanyl trafficking and a five-year sentence with 20% parole eligibility for methamphetamine trafficking. Both sentences will be served consecutively.

Authorities said Sweet’s conviction is the result of a multi-month investigation aimed at disrupting drug trafficking operations in Bullitt County and nearby areas.

Sweet has a prior conviction from 2024 for methamphetamine trafficking and fleeing police.
