MARLBORO COUNTY, S.C. — Albert Clark, a Pee Dee man, is in custody after allegedly pulling out a gun during a domestic violence incident in December. Clark was extradited to Marlboro County on Tuesday after being arrested in Scotland County, North Carolina. He now faces multiple charges, including domestic violence, kidnapping, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
Clark is accused of being involved in a violent confrontation on December 25, 2024, in McColl, where he allegedly argued with a victim before physically assaulting them. During the altercation, Clark reportedly pulled out a gun, resulting in a struggle that led to the firearm discharging. Authorities have not confirmed if anyone was injured, but the sheriff’s office stated that the gunshot struck inside the victim’s vehicle. After the incident, Clark reportedly fled the scene in a separate vehicle.
In addition to the December incident, Clark is also linked to a previous event from October 2023 in McColl. According to reports, Clark became physical during an argument, preventing the victim from leaving a vehicle by placing pressure on their jaw with his thumb. The victim retaliated before managing to escape and call 911.
Clark is currently being held at the Marlboro County Detention Center while awaiting a bond hearing. The investigation is ongoing.
