On Saturday, Ajmer Police seized 1.9 kilograms of opium from a car traveling on the Nasirabad-Kishangarh highway. The car, which had a Jodhpur registration number, was heading from Nasirabad towards Jaipur when it was stopped for a routine check.

The two individuals arrested in connection with the drug seizure have been identified as Dharmaram Jat (34), a resident of Khimsar in Nagaur district, and Vikram Vishnoi (20), from Bhojasar village in Jodhpur.

The police are investigating the origin and intended destination of the opium. As part of their efforts to combat drug smuggling, Ajmer district police have launched a campaign that includes regular vehicle checks along highways to intercept narcotics.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the case to uncover any broader drug trafficking operations tied to the suspects.
