Ahmedabad Crime Branch Arrests Two Men with Heroin Worth Rs 7.07 Lakh

The Ahmedabad City Crime Branch on Sunday apprehended two men near Maninagar railway station’s A Yard with heroin valued at Rs 7.07 lakh.

The accused, Mohmadsarif Lakhe (33) from Lothal and Sahen Kharaani (22) from Narangpur, were found carrying 70.730 grams of heroin packed in two plastic containers.

Along with the drugs, police seized a mobile phone worth Rs 75,000, Rs 4,500 in cash, plastic bags, identification cards, and two weighing scales. The total value of the seized items is estimated at Rs 7.86 lakh.

Both men were handed over to the Kagdapith police station, where a case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Investigations are ongoing.
