The Ahmedabad Crime Branch successfully cracked 11 cases of burglary and vehicle theft across Ahmedabad and other districts in Gujarat after the arrest of two key members of an inter-state criminal gang from Rajasthan.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Sagar alias Saglo Kantilal Gameti and Mithun Arvind Ghumaji Gameti.
After an extensive technical investigation, the duo was apprehended in Ahmedabad and interrogated at multiple police stations. Sagar Kantilal Gameti has a long history of criminal activity, including involvement in 12 theft cases under Section 379 of the BNS in areas like Himmatnagar and Ghatlodia. He has also been implicated in several burglary cases in Rajasthan, including a high-profile jeweller’s shop heist in Udaipur.
On the other hand, Mithun Arvind Gameti is linked to multiple murder and robbery cases in Rajasthan, with incidents occurring in Pahara, Bichchiwada, and Kherwara between 2018 and 2021.
