Pahadishareef police have arrested seven people, including a juvenile, for allegedly killing 32-year-old rowdy sheeter Shaik Amer on the night of December 14 at Shaheennagar.
The arrested accused are Ahmed Emad Mohammed, Mirza Jafar Baig, Syed Shah Abdul Jabbar, Ibrahim Bin Saleem Bamar, Awais Bin Abdullah Barasheed, Affanullah Khan, and a juvenile. Authorities stated that three others remain absconding.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Maheshwaram) K Narayana Reddy confirmed that the deceased had a criminal history, including two murders, five robberies, two thefts, and one extortion case, and a police sheet was maintained against him at Attapur Police Station.
Reddy added that on December 14, Amer was standing near Nahdi Hotel in Shaheennagar when 10 masked men fatally attacked him. Preliminary investigations indicate the murder was carried out to avenge the killing of Mubaraka Sigar.
Further investigations are ongoing to apprehend the remaining absconding accused and uncover more details about the incident.
