In a major narcotics operation, Thiruvananthapuram City District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force (DANSAF) seized approximately 350 kg of ganja from a vehicle in Pappanamcode, Kerala on Monday.
The operation was led by Narcotics Assistant Commissioner Gopakumar, and the suspect, identified as Afsal, was taken into custody. Police intercepted the vehicle while Afsal was allegedly attempting to hand over the contraband, which was concealed in multiple tape-wrapped packets, to another party.
Authorities suspect that the seized ganja originated from other states, pointing to the involvement of a major interstate drug network. The Karamana Police Station is expected to formally process the case as the investigation continues to dismantle the trafficking syndicate.
