PERRIS, California — Adrian Henning, a 20-year-old man from Moreno Valley, was arrested after allegedly robbing a victim at gunpoint during a social media sales transaction, the Perris Sheriff’s Station reported. Henning was taken into custody following a coordinated operation by local law enforcement.
Deputies responded to a robbery on Mount Shasta Street in Perris, where the victim reported being held up at gunpoint. The suspect had fled the scene before deputies arrived, but the investigation was quickly taken over by the Perris Station Special Enforcement Team (SET). The victim stated that Henning contacted them through a popular social media sales app, arranged a meeting, and then stole the property while brandishing a firearm.
Henning was later located and arrested in Moreno Valley by deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station and the Gang Impact Team (GIT). During a search of Henning’s home and vehicle, authorities recovered the stolen property and a firearm.
Further investigation revealed Henning’s involvement in a second robbery on the same day in Mead Valley. In this instance, Henning allegedly attempted to forcibly take property from another victim, once again contacting them through the same social media platform.
Henning has been booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on multiple charges, including robbery, assault with a firearm, assault with a semi-automatic firearm, and committing a felony while on bail. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities encourage anyone with more information to contact Deputy McMorris at Riverside County Sheriff’s dispatch or the Perris Station.
