EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) – Adrian James Gonzales, 28, of El Paso, has been sentenced to 45 years in state prison after pleading guilty to the murder of Enrike Havier Navarro, 34, and Noemi Crispin, 40. The sentence was handed down nearly one year after Gonzales’ arrest in connection with the February 2024 deaths.

According to the El Paso District Attorney’s Office, Gonzales accepted a plea agreement on February 3, 2025.

The incident began when a witness alerted the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office to a body found on the 4600 block of Turf Road. Deputies located Navarro unresponsive on the ground, while Crispin was found nearby. Investigators later traced a vehicle trail to a home on 4700 Turf Road, where they discovered Gonzales and a damaged SUV.

Video surveillance from neighbors showed Gonzales driving erratically around the time of the crash. Though no clear motive was identified, family members suggested Gonzales had a history of methamphetamine use.

District Attorney James Montoya praised the work of witnesses and law enforcement, stating, “While we will never know with certainty why the Defendant killed Mr. Navarro and Ms. Crispin, thanks to the witnesses who came forward and the Sheriff’s Office investigators, we were able to hold him accountable for his callous and heinous actions.”
