Kim Delaney, the Emmy Award-winning actress best known for her role on NYPD Blue, was arrested Saturday morning on suspicion of assault following a domestic disturbance at her Southern California home.
Delaney, 65, was taken into custody along with her husband, James Morgan, 54, who was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence. Both arrests occurred at their residence in Marina del Rey, a coastal community near Los Angeles.
According to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Kenneth Jose Salgado, Delaney’s arrest follows a disturbance, although the details of the incident were not available as of Sunday. She was held without bail on felony charges, while Morgan was booked on a misdemeanor charge and later released on a $20,000 bond.
Delaney’s representatives have yet to respond to requests for comment regarding the incident. She remains in custody, with her next court appearance pending.
This incident comes shortly after Delaney celebrated her second wedding anniversary with Morgan, sharing a heartfelt post on Instagram in October. Delaney’s career spans multiple decades, with notable roles in All My Children, NYPD Blue, and Law & Order.
Her portrayal of Detective Diane Russell in NYPD Blue earned her an Emmy Award in 1997.
