WAIKIKI, Hawaii (Island News) — Local actor Kekoa Kekumano, 27, was arrested on August 4, 2025, after allegedly threatening a worker in Waikiki.
According to the Honolulu Police Department, the incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. on Kalakaua Avenue. Officers responded to the scene and took Kekumano into custody shortly after the report.
He was charged with second-degree terroristic threatening, a serious offense under Hawaii law. However, Kekumano has since been released pending further investigation.
Best known for his roles in “Aquaman,” “The White Lotus,” and the local series “Rescue: HI-Surf,” Kekumano is expected to appear in court next month.
No injuries were reported, and police have not disclosed further details about the nature of the threat.
