In a significant breakthrough, Madhu Dhan, the accused in a 2019 murder case under the Kharsidag police outpost in Ranchi district, was arrested after six years on the run. The arrest was made from Saikotoli in the Karra police station limits of Khunti.
The murder took place in July 2019 when Akash Kumar Singh, along with his girlfriend, was traveling in his car on the Ring Road. A group of criminals attempted to rob them. When Singh tried to flee in his vehicle, the assailants shot at him, resulting in his death later.
The police have already submitted a chargesheet against seven persons, including Madhu Dhan, in the case.
