GREEN BAY (WLUK) — Abigail Guerrero, 31, was sentenced Thursday to one year in jail for her involvement in the armed robbery her boyfriend committed at El Ranchito, the restaurant where she worked. She also received five years of probation and must write a letter of apology to her former boss, as ordered by Judge Tammy Jo Hock. Guerrero declined to address the court before the sentence was issued.
Her boyfriend, Reinaldo Fuentes-Nietzsche, was previously sentenced to five years in prison for the Feb. 17, 2024, robbery. During the incident, Fuentes-Nietzsche entered the store, brandished a firearm, and demanded cash from the clerk. Initial estimates of the stolen amount were as high as $20,000, though Fuentes-Nietzsche later estimated the take at $13,000.
According to the criminal complaint, Guerrero, who was dating Fuentes-Nietzsche at the time, knew of his plans to rob the store when the owner was not present. She identified the gun used in the robbery and confirmed that her boyfriend used the stolen money to buy a Mercedes, pay off debts, purchase shoes, and acquire marijuana for resale.
Fuentes-Nietzsche admitted that Guerrero was aware of the plan. He expressed remorse during his arrest, stating he regretted committing the crime and wished he could undo it.
