ABERDEEN, N.C. — An Aberdeen woman has been charged after allegedly stealing more than $1,500 in cash from the Firehouse Subs where she worked, according to the Aberdeen Police Department.

Deijah Williams, 30, reportedly committed the theft on the night of November 23. Police said officers confirmed through statements and video surveillance that Williams intentionally took the cash before resigning from her position.

Warrants were issued for Williams on a Felony Larceny by Employee charge. She was later located at her residence, arrested, and brought before a Moore County Magistrate, who set no bond as a condition of her pending pre-trial release.

The Aberdeen Police Department reminds the public that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
