The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has arrested two alleged drug peddlers and seized 24.57 grams of MDMA, a synthetic narcotic drug valued at Rs2.4 lakh, officials said.
The accused have been identified as Abdul Salam (39) of Adyar Kannur in Mangaluru and Mohammed Nasir (28) of Boliyar in Ullal taluk. According to police, the duo was actively distributing MDMA to students and other local buyers, contributing to the growing narcotics network in the region.
CCB officials said the arrests were part of intensified efforts to curb drug circulation and target suppliers operating near educational and residential areas. Both accused have been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway to identify their network and sources of procurement.
