CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A Cheyenne woman, Abby Nichole Delf, has been charged with felony theft after being caught on security cameras repeatedly removing valuables and tools from the home of a recently deceased homeowner.
Delf faces a felony charge for theft over $1,000 from a building. She was arrested on May 29 after a warrant was issued. She remains presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
According to court records, Cheyenne police responded to a theft report on February 27, shortly after the homeowner passed away on February 19. The homeowner’s son informed investigators that Delf was found inside the home by the coroner, despite not being a family member or having permission to be there. Delf was asked to leave at that time.
The homeowner’s son and his brother reported missing items on February 26. Security camera footage revealed Delf and others entering and leaving the home between February 11 and February 22. The footage showed Delf frequently leaving the residence carrying bags.
Additional footage captured the homeowner’s Jeep leaving the property with a snowblower loaded in the back, although no individuals were visible inside the vehicle during that recording. No interior camera footage was available.
Stolen items reported include:
Dewalt 36-volt tool set (including a reciprocating saw)
Two guitars (a black bass and a black Fender electric)
Marshall black stack guitar amplifier
Two high-lift jacks
WEN 8-inch drill press
Craftsman electric-start snowblower
Original and new wedding rings and matching bracelet with inscriptions
Several silver coins and certificates from a basement safe

The investigation continues as authorities work to recover the stolen property.
