WALTON COUNTY, FL — Two men from DeFuniak Springs have been arrested on serious charges involving lewd and lascivious molestation of children under the age of 12, authorities confirmed.
The U.S. Marshals and Walton County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) deputies arrested Aaron Kent, 26, of Girl Scout Road, and Curtis Chancey, 60, of Hinote Road, during two separate warrant operations this week.
According to the Walton County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Unit, the charges stem from two unrelated cases involving the alleged molestation of young children.
Both men were taken into custody without incident.
Curtis Chancey was denied bond and remains in jail.
Aaron Kent was assigned a $500,000 bond and is also still incarcerated.
Officials have not released further details due to the sensitive nature of the cases, which remain under investigation.
