Aaron Husband Faces Theft Charges in Two Indiana Counties

Mishawaka man arrested for Kohl’s, Macy’s, Dick’s thefts

Mishawaka, IN – A 33-year-old man from Mishawaka is facing felony theft charges in both Lake and St. Joseph counties after separate incidents involving the alleged theft of merchandise from multiple retailers.

Aaron James Husband was first charged in Lake County following a January 3, 2025 incident at Macy’s in Hobart. According to court documents, Husband attempted to leave the store with over $1,000 in merchandise, including Nike apparel and cologne, without paying. He was stopped by store security and arrested by Hobart police. Officers also confirmed Husband had a prior theft conviction in St. Joseph County in 2021. This case was officially filed on April 16, 2025.

More recently, on June 24, 2025, Mishawaka police stopped a vehicle suspected in a theft case. During the traffic stop, Husband reportedly handed officers several stolen jewelry boxes from Kohl’s and was found wearing multiple pairs of shorts with tags still attached from Dick’s Sporting Goods. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant, and charges were filed in St. Joseph County on June 30, 2025.

Husband was booked into the Lake County Jail on July 2, 2025.
