IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — Iredell County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a Wyoming man following a suspicious vehicle call that led to the discovery of stolen property and an outstanding out-of-state warrant, authorities said.
The suspect, identified as Aaron James Eichheim Narva, 42, of Douglas, Wyoming, was taken into custody and charged with felony possession of stolen goods or property, possession of burglary tools, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also served with an active extraditable warrant from Larimer County, Colorado, related to a burglary case.
According to the sheriff’s office, a deputy responded on December 30, 2025, to Hawks Prey Drive after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle. The deputy located the vehicle and made contact with Narva. A records check through a national law enforcement database revealed Narva was wanted in Larimer County, Colorado, with full extradition for a burglary committed on December 11, 2025.
Deputies also learned Narva was wanted in Douglas, Wyoming, on multiple charges, though that warrant was not extraditable outside surrounding states.
As the investigation continued, deputies developed probable cause to search the vehicle. During the search, officers observed drug paraphernalia in plain view and located a large assortment of tools and other items. Deputies coordinated with the Fort Collins Police Department, which provided a list of property reported stolen in the Colorado burglary.
While continuing the search, deputies matched several items inside the vehicle to those listed as stolen. The stolen property was recovered as part of the ongoing investigation, officials said.
Narva was taken into custody and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center. Further proceedings are expected as coordination continues with Colorado authorities.
As with all criminal cases, the charges are allegations only. Aaron James Eichheim Narva is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
