Stolen Bank Card Used in Failed Fraud Attempt

JONESBORO, Ark. — A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an October residential burglary in Jonesboro that involved the theft of a PlayStation 5 and a bank card later used in an attempted fraudulent transaction, according to court records.

Craighead County District Judge David Boling found probable cause on Tuesday, January 20, to charge Aaron Deshun Ishmon with residential burglary, theft of property involving credit or debit cards, and misdemeanor theft of property valued at less than $1,000.

Police responded on October 28, 2025, to a reported burglary on Glitterman Drive after the incident had already occurred. According to a probable cause affidavit, officers later found the victim arguing with individuals outside a residence on Saddlecrest Drive, where some of the stolen items were allegedly located.

The victim told officers she recognized the suspected thief through camera footage and knew the individual was associated with the Saddlecrest Drive home, though she did not initially know his name. She was able to recover her stolen PlayStation 5 and a pair of shoes, police said.

Investigators determined the suspect had entered the victim’s home through an unlocked window and removed several items, including a bank card. Detectives later learned the card had been used in an attempted purchase at a nearby travel center, but the transaction was declined because no PIN was provided.

During the investigation, detectives interviewed the homeowner at the Saddlecrest Drive residence, who identified the suspects as Aaron Ishmon and Amarion Webb. The homeowner stated she had video footage showing the two leaving and later returning with the stolen property. The suspects were reportedly friends of her son.

The homeowner’s son told investigators that he had given Ishmon and Webb a ride to the travel center, where they attempted to use the victim’s stolen bank card.

Arrest warrants were issued for both suspects. Webb was arrested in White County on January 14, 2026, and extradited to the Craighead County Detention Center. Ishmon is scheduled to be arraigned on February 27, 2026.

All charges are allegations, and Ishmon is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
