A Carthage man, Aaron Deese, is facing multiple drug charges following an incident in Whispering Pines. The Whispering Pines Police Department was alerted to suspicious activity in one of the local parks, leading to Deese’s arrest.
On June 28, 2024, officers investigated the reported activity and located Deese. During their search, they discovered narcotics, including heroin, and drug paraphernalia. As a result, he was charged with possession of heroin, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deese is currently held at the Moore County Detention Center under a secured bond of $5,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 25 and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
