NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) — Aaliyah Allen, 28, is facing additional charges after Metro Nashville detectives linked her to an organized retail theft from October 2024 at a Lululemon store in the Gulch neighborhood.
According to an arrest affidavit from the Metro Nashville Police Department, officers were called to the Lululemon store on 11th Avenue South on October 3, where store staff reported a large-scale theft. Security footage showed Allen and 27-year-old Dezisrae Reed entering the store and grabbing multiple leggings, jackets, sweatshirts, and skirts before walking out without paying.
The stolen merchandise was valued at $3,974.
Detectives from the Organized Retail Crime unit reviewed the footage and were able to identify both suspects. Allen and Reed were already known to police from previous theft investigations and were also identified via their online social media profiles.
Reed was arrested shortly after, on October 11, and charged with four counts of retail theft and two counts of drug possession.
Allen, whose criminal history primarily involves retail theft and dates back to 2018, was charged on April 29 with four additional counts of theft over $2,500 tied to this incident.
The case adds to a growing list of organized retail thefts in the area, and police continue to investigate connections to other recent shoplifting rings.
