CHICOPEE, Mass. — Four people were arrested last Wednesday in connection with a multi-state credit card fraud scheme, Chicopee police said.

Authorities identified the suspects as Jayden Thompson, Javon Curtis Collins, Jayden Gayle, and Timothy Spencer. Police responded to a Walmart following reports that stolen credit cards were being used at the store. Officers later located the group’s vehicle, a white BMW, in the Chipotle parking lot, and conducted a stop.

Investigators said the suspects used stolen debit and credit card information to purchase electronics and gift cards online at Walmart, often completing transactions using QR codes. The group is connected to more than $5,000 in merchandise obtained through fraudulent purchases across Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Jersey.

Authorities also noted that Timothy Spencer was wanted for homicide in New York and is being held pending extradition.

Police confirmed that all four individuals are facing charges related to the fraud scheme.
