Jharsuguda Police Arrest Four in Armed Robbery Case

Mobile, motorcycle, and firearm recovered from accused

Jharsuguda Airport Police have arrested four persons in connection with an armed robbery reported from Saletikra near Biju Expressway, officials said.

The arrested accused are:

Manoj Barik (27) of Bandhbahal

Sunil Yadav (alias Nanu, 23)

Suraj Pancham (19)

Shibam Paswan (20), all residents of Rampur Brajrajnagar

The arrests were made within 24 hours of registering Airport PS Case No. 139 dated August 26, 2025, under various provisions of the Arms Act.

The complainant, Ramu Kisan (35), a night watchman, reported that he was attacked by three unidentified men around 1 am on August 25 while on duty. The assailants allegedly assaulted him, threatened him at gunpoint and with a Bhujali, and stole his mobile phone and motorcycle.

Police launched a swift investigation, tracing the suspects and recovering the stolen mobile and motorcycle. Additionally, authorities seized a motorcycle, a pistol, and a Bhujali from the accused.

Officials confirmed that further investigations are underway to examine any additional links to criminal activity in the region.
