Kankanady Police Arrest Ibrahim for Yamaha FZ Bike Theft

Stolen bike and mobile phone worth Rs 26,000 recovered

Kankanady Town police have arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with a Yamaha FZ bike theft reported under their jurisdiction.

The accused has been identified as Ibrahim alias Monu, son of the late Mayabba, a resident of Ashraya Colony near Sri Durga Parameshwari Temple, 3rd Block, Katipalla, Idya Surathkal.

According to police, Ibrahim allegedly stole the Yamaha FZ bike (KA-19-ED-0237) on December 8. He reportedly roamed around the Pumpwell area with the intention of committing theft and took the bike from V Care Garage along Ekkur National Highway using direct wiring.

Following a complaint, a case was registered at Kankanady Town police station under Crime No. 178/2025, citing offences under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

The police recovered the stolen bike and a mobile phone used in the offence, with an estimated total value of Rs 26,000. Ibrahim was produced in court and remanded to judicial custody.
