Cadillac Woman Arrested for Vehicle Theft in Wexford County

Nikole McNamara faces charges for unlawful car removal

WEXFORD COUNTY, Mich. — A Cadillac woman has been arrested for vehicle theft after a car was reported stolen in Henderson Township on August 15, 2025.

Michigan State Police troopers from the Cadillac Post identified 35-year-old Nikole McNamara as the suspect. The vehicle was taken without permission between 1:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on the same day.

The owner discovered the car missing after a friend called around 11:00 a.m., prompting police involvement. A warrant for McNamara’s arrest was issued on December 4, charging her with Motor Vehicle – Unlawful Driving Away.

McNamara was arraigned on December 9 in the 84th District Court and released on a personal recognizance bond. Her next court appearance is scheduled for December 16.
