by Sophia Bennett

Auburn police have arrested Itasha M. Williams in connection with a larceny outside a UPS Store on Genesee Street.

Authorities say Williams was linked to the October 5 incident through surveillance footage and prior police contacts. Around $3,000 worth of items were reported stolen from a vehicle parked near 144 Genesee Street.

Investigators reviewed video from nearby businesses and confirmed Williams’ identity based on previous interactions with law enforcement.

Williams has been charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, a class E felony under New York Penal Law 155.30.01. An arrest warrant was issued by Auburn City Court, and she was taken into custody on December 3, currently being held pending arraignment.
