Delhi Police have arrested three men from Uttar Pradesh in connection with the robbery of Rs 5 lakh from a Blinkit delivery rider. Cash has been recovered, while a stolen motorcycle and an iPhone purchased with the stolen money were seized.

According to the Central District Police, a PCR call was received on October 22 reporting that three men on a motorcycle had robbed a Blinkit delivery rider near Satya Park, Shadipur. The rider was carrying cash collected from different Blinkit branches. An FIR (No. 452/25) was registered at Ranjit Nagar Police Station under Sections 309(4), 309(6), 312, and 3(5) of the BNS.

A special investigation team led by Inspector Tribhuvan Negi, SHO Ranjit Nagar, and supervised by ACP Patel Nagar, scanned extensive CCTV footage, traced the stolen motorcycle, and identified the suspects. Informants and technical surveillance led police to the Faridpuri area, revealing that the accused were originally from Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, and had previously worked as delivery personnel.

The arrested men are:

Ram Avtar alias Ram – Rs 1,37,500 recovered

Veeru Sonkar – Duke motorcycle and iPhone seized

Sikander – Rs 1,53,000 frozen in bank account

During interrogation, the trio confessed and revealed they previously worked with Blinkit and Zomato, using their registered delivery IDs. They also admitted to two other snatching cases in the Ranjit Nagar area. Police are searching for another absconding accomplice, Manoj, who provided the robbers with detailed information about the delivery rider’s route, vehicle, and cash.

Investigation is ongoing, and authorities are pursuing leads to arrest the remaining suspect.
