Golaghat Police intercepted a luxury vehicle carrying a significant quantity of drugs at Arengapara in Golaghat town on Thursday night.
A tipoff led officers to stop a white-colored XUV (registration AS23AA3532) traveling from Merapani toward Bokakhat. During a thorough search, authorities recovered drugs worth several lakh rupees.
Three young men—Raja Ali, Abukar Ali, and Asik Ahmed—were arrested on the spot. They are currently in police custody for further questioning, while investigations continue. Authorities suspect additional contraband may still be hidden in the vehicle.
The swift action by Golaghat Police highlights their vigilance in tackling drug trafficking in the region.
