Police have successfully solved multiple theft and fraud cases across Indore, Vidisha, Tikamgarh, Sehore, and Bhopal, recovering assets valued over Rs1.22 crore and arresting key suspects. These operations were executed through vigilant monitoring, technical analysis, and coordinated team efforts.
In Indore, an inter-state gang defrauded victims of Rs60 lakh by offering fake gold in exchange for five Rani Haar ornaments. Following directives from the Indore Police Commissioner, authorities tracked suspects Sanjay Soni, Gaurav Soni, Neeraj Soni, and Santosh Samai across Rishikesh (Uttarakhand) and Jodhpur (Rajasthan). Police recovered 443 grams of gold, necklaces, chains, and rings worth around Rs60 lakh. The gang admitted to melting part of the gold for new ornaments while hiding the rest in Jodhpur.
In Vidisha, police solved thefts at the Balaji Temple and a private residence. By analyzing over 250 CCTV clips, 150 witness statements, and technical evidence, five suspects operating from Agra (Uttar Pradesh) were arrested. Cash, vehicles, and jewelry worth approximately Rs15 lakh were recovered.
A separate case in Civil Lines involving a deserted house near SATI College led to the arrest of four suspects, with recovered property and cash valued at Rs30.6 lakh.
In Tikamgarh, the theft of brass idols and silver ornaments from Bageshwari Temple resulted in the arrest of Pramod alias Chhotu Ahirwar from Banda (Uttar Pradesh), with stolen items worth Rs55,000 recovered.
Sehore police apprehended three suspects in a residential burglary, recovering stolen fridges, washing machines, motorcycles, and other items worth around Rs2 lakh.
In Bhopal’s Shahjahanabad area, a retired Agriculture Department employee’s vacant home was looted. Property dealer Yusuf Siddiqui and his accomplice Abdul Rahman were arrested, and cash and jewelry worth about Rs14 lakh were recovered.
