Three Arrested in Mumbai Gold Theft, Rs 32L Recovered

Bandra East jeweller’s stolen gold recovered in 12 hours

In a swift operation, Nirmal Nagar police arrested three suspects for stealing gold ornaments worth Rs 32 lakh from a jeweller’s shop in Bandra East, Mumbai, and recovered the stolen property within 12 hours.

The accused, identified as Shravan Navik, Sonali Yadav, and Fazal Parmar, were apprehended after investigators analyzed CCTV footage and traced the stolen gold and Rs 32 lakh in cash.

According to the complainant, who runs the shop, two individuals entered his premises under the pretext of examining a gold chain weighing 15–20 grams. He displayed a folder containing 25 gold chains, and one suspect draped a chain around his neck. When the complainant tried to retrieve it, another man seized the folder of ornaments and fled. The complainant gave chase and alerted Nirmal Nagar police.

The investigation was supervised by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 8) Maneesh Kalwaniya and led by Senior Inspector Ramesh Wagh, with assistance from Sub-Inspectors Sudarshan Bankar, Phatak, Pawar, Sheikh, Sawant, Rathod, and Tayde. The team meticulously examined CCTV footage, identified the suspects, and successfully arrested them, recovering all stolen items.
