A Columbia man, 21-year-old Deon H. Webb, was arrested Monday following a weekend robbery in Boone County.
The Columbia Police Department (CPD) responded to a reported robbery at 10:56 a.m. on Saturday, September 13. The victim told authorities they had met Webb at Casey’s on Clark Lane to potentially sell a diamond-encrusted green Rolex watch.
Surveillance footage shows Webb entering the victim’s car and examining the watch. According to a probable cause statement, Webb then displayed a black handgun and declared he was taking the watch. The documents note that Webb pointed the firearm upward but did not directly aim at the victim.
Security footage also captured Webb leaving the vehicle, standing near the victim, and walking away while concealing the alleged gun in his pocket.
Webb was later apprehended and charged with First-Degree Robbery, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. He was booked into Boone County Jail without bond.
