WAYNE COUNTY, N.Y. — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Town of Lyons man following a disturbance at a local residence.

35-year-old Henry McKenzie faces charges of second-degree burglary and two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Authorities say that in the early morning hours, McKenzie went to a residence on Ross Road looking for someone. Once inside, he allegedly kicked in the door and took the resident’s cellphone, preventing them from calling 911. McKenzie fled the scene before police arrived.

Later that same day, McKenzie was apprehended by law enforcement and taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
