Police have solved the October 30 Bhargo Camp jewellery shop robbery by arresting four individuals, including three robbers and a key accomplice who provided them shelter in Rajasthan.

The breakthrough came after an interstate chase that ended with the arrest of the accused near the holy town of Pushkar in Ajmer.

Police Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur confirmed the arrests, noting that special investigation teams were formed under the supervision of DCP (Investigation) Manpreet Singh Dhillon immediately after the daylight heist. Detailed scrutiny of CCTV footage, along with technical and human intelligence, helped investigators identify and trace the culprits.

The three main accused — Karan, Jushal, and Gagan — all belong to the same locality as the robbed shop and reportedly have prior criminal records. The robbery had triggered public outrage and political criticism over law and order in the area.

Further investigation led police to Gaurav, a resident of Hathi Batta in Ajmer, who had provided shelter to the fugitives. Acting on a tip-off, police teams raided a hideout near the Brahma Temple in Pushkar and successfully arrested all four accused.

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing to recover the stolen jewellery and uncover any additional links in the network.
