TWO RIVERS, Wis. (WBAY) — Two people were arrested after Two Rivers Police responded to a garage burglary early Monday morning.
Officers were dispatched around 6:30 a.m. to the 100 block of Turner Street, where suspects were reportedly caught stealing items from a garage.
Police later located the suspects in Brown County, where deputies detained them and transferred them to Two Rivers officers.
Investigators say most of the stolen property was found in the suspects’ vehicles, seized as evidence, and later returned to the victim.
The suspects, identified as 43-year-old Joleen Johnson and 51-year-old Marvin Gray, both of Two Rivers, were taken to the Manitowoc County Jail on charges of burglary and theft.
Additionally, Johnson faces two counts of felony bail jumping, while Gray faces two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping.
Police say the quick cooperation between counties helped recover the stolen property and ensure the suspects were taken into custody without incident.
