A 37-year-old Pensacola woman wanted for questioning in a recent Escambia County homicide is now in jail on an unrelated warrant.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday that Shana Gulley was wanted for questioning in the fatal stabbing of 48-year-old Timothy Preyer, who was found dead on Dogwood Drive. At the time, deputies also revealed Gulley had an active domestic violence battery warrant, with Preyer listed as the alleged victim.
By Tuesday morning, the sheriff’s office confirmed that Gulley had been located and booked into the Escambia County Jail around 10:20 a.m. on the outstanding warrant.
No charges have been filed in connection to Preyer’s death, and the homicide investigation remains ongoing.
According to investigators, Gulley has chosen not to speak with authorities about the fatal incident.
Family members told authorities that Gulley and Preyer were living together as a couple at the time of the stabbing.
She is currently being held without bond at the Escambia County Jail.
