DOUGLAS COUNTY, CO — A 55-year-old Colorado man, Tyson Swa, was arrested following an alleged attempt to steal a bill changing machine from a Kimball business.

On August 8, witnesses at Clothes Minded Laundromat saw a man trying to steal the bolted-down bill changer. The owners, who also run Beer & Loathing, confronted the suspect, but he fled the scene.

Police were dispatched and identified the suspect as Tyson Swa. An arrest warrant was issued, and Swa was taken into custody on September 22. He faces charges of felony theft and criminal mischief, the latter due to damage caused while removing the securely mounted machine.

Swa was extradited to the Kimball County Jail, where he remains held on a $25,000 bond, with the option to post 10%.

Kimball Police Chief Jose Ruiz confirmed the charges and reminded the public that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
