Chad Allan Isaacs Arrested in $15K Parker County Contractor Scam

Repeat offender accused of theft in unfinished metal shop job

by Amelia Crawford

PARKER COUNTY, Texas — A contractor has been arrested for felony theft after allegedly taking a $15,000 down payment for a construction job he never completed.

Chad Allan Isaacs, 51, the owner of D & L Metals, was hired in late 2023 to build a 24×30 metal shop on a homeowner’s property in Parker County. According to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office, Isaacs only completed the framing before ceasing work entirely in November 2024.

An investigation revealed that Isaacs deliberately delayed construction, failed to order additional materials, and kept the funds provided by the victim without completing the project. Sheriff Russ Authier noted that the case reflects a growing trend of contractor scams in the area.

Isaacs’ theft charge is enhanced to a felony because of two or more prior theft convictions, making the charge theft of property between $2,500 and $30,000 with prior convictions.

He was arrested in Young County on a Parker County warrant on September 11.

Sheriff Authier urged residents to thoroughly vet contractors and service agreements before making large payments, especially in light of the increasing number of similar reports.
