UNION COUNTY, S.C. — A 73-year-old woman from Union, South Carolina, is facing felony charges after allegedly stealing more than $54,000 from a resident at an assisted living facility.
On Friday, South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of Carla Finley, who is accused of stealing $54,817 between June 22 and August 29, 2024, from a resident at Wesley Court Assisted Living Community in Boiling Springs.
Finley has been charged with:
Exploitation of a Vulnerable Adult (Felony)
Breach of Trust with Fraudulent Intent (value $10,000 or more – Felony)
She was booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Center and given a $25,000 bond.
Potential Penalties:
Exploitation of a Vulnerable Adult: Up to 5 years in prison, a $5,000 fine, or both.
Breach of Trust (over $10,000): Up to 10 years in prison, a fine at the court’s discretion, or both.
