SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Trevor Christopher Fountain, 38, formerly of Sacramento, has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to transport stolen property, U.S. Attorney Eric Grant announced.

Fountain, along with co-defendants Stephan James Evanovich, Jonathan Matthew Curl, and Andrea Carter, illegally accessed communications towers to steal rectifiers and other critical equipment. The stolen goods, valued at over $260,000, were sold across multiple states including California and Texas.

Investigators revealed Fountain created fake invoices to disguise the stolen equipment sales as legitimate transactions. The FBI, assisted by the Weld County Sheriff’s Office in Colorado, led the investigation.

Andrea Carter has been sentenced to 29 months in prison, while Evanovich and Curl await trial set for February 23, 2026. Fountain’s sentencing is scheduled for February 19, 2026, facing up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
