Kieron Stuart Robert Long, 39, has been sentenced to four years and six months in prison after admitting to 13 charges related to a series of house burglaries.
Long targeted homes in Northampton, including the Kingsthorpe and Hardingstone areas, as well as one in Milton Keynes. During one burglary in Tate Grove on January 26, he broke a glass panel to enter a home and stole thousands of pounds worth of gold watches, diamond rings, and earrings.
Two days later, Long gained entry through a bathroom window on Hellidon Close, stealing car keys and the owner’s red Ford. Three days after that, he took a black Audi from another home in Northampton.
He pleaded guilty to offences including burglary, theft, attempted burglary, and car theft.
Detective Inspector Liam O’Neill described Long as a “prolific burglar who has caused untold upset and trauma to his victims.”
Northamptonshire Police praised the hard work of the burglary team, saying the sentencing provides hope for victims and reassurance for the community.
