LONGFORD, IRELAND — A 30-year-old woman from Longford is set to appear again in Longford District Court next Tuesday, facing multiple charges related to theft and assault.
Lisa Nevin, of 53 Lana Aoibheann, St Michael’s Road, Longford, was brought before Judge Bernadette Owens this week, charged with nine counts of theft, two counts of assault, and one offence related to possession of a stolen bank card.
The court heard that on June 25, Nevin allegedly stole alcohol worth €15.64 from Aldi on Green Road in Mullingar.
Her alleged crime spree continued into August, including:
August 4: Theft of €56.40 worth of groceries from Lidl, Dublin Road.
August 7: Theft of 6 cans of Four Loko alcohol worth €33.60 from SuperValu, Hazelwood Shopping Centre.
August 8: Allegedly stole groceries and alcohol worth €44.42 from Aldi, Mullingar; also accused of stealing the same Four Loko cans from SuperValu on the same day.
August 9: Allegedly stole €100.75 worth of property from Dealz, Market Square, Longford.
August 12: Returned to Dealz and allegedly stole €9.55 in groceries; separately stole alcohol worth €31.50 and property worth €38 from SuperValu.
On August 12, Nevin was also arrested for allegedly assaulting two women, in violation of Section 2 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997.
An earlier charge from February 11 was also noted, where she was allegedly found in possession of a stolen bank card, contrary to Section 18 of the Criminal Justice (Theft & Fraud Offences) Act 2001.
Ms Nevin is represented by solicitor Diarmuid Quinn. She is scheduled to reappear before Judge Owens on Tuesday, September 23.
