WACO, Texas — Two men from Killeen have been sentenced for their roles in a series of armed robberies spanning late 2017 to early 2018.
Roosevelt Jones IV, 26, was sentenced to 20 years in prison and ordered to pay $12,026 in restitution. His accomplice, 29-year-old Christopher Teon Fults, received a 10-year sentence and must pay $9,356 in restitution.
According to court records, Jones and Fults committed five armed robberies in Killeen between November 2017 and January 2018. Jones faced an additional robbery charge for an incident in February 2018. U.S. Attorney Ashley C. Hoff emphasized the severity of their crimes, stating, “Those who perpetrate violence among us forfeit their freedom.”
FBI Special Agent in Charge Oliver E. Rich Jr. of the San Antonio Division highlighted the partnership between the FBI and local law enforcement in combating violent crime. Both men pleaded guilty to one count of interference with commerce by robbery on September 7, 2021, and have been held in federal custody since their October 2019 arrests.
The investigation was conducted by the FBI Central Texas Violent Crimes Task Force, alongside the Temple Police Department and Killeen Police Department’s Violent Crime Unit. Assistant U.S. Attorney Gregory Gloff prosecuted the case, which is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods — an initiative aimed at reducing violent and gun-related crimes through community engagement and targeted enforcement.
