BOONEVILLE, Miss. — A traffic stop for driving on the wrong side of the road led to the arrest of a Prentiss County couple on methamphetamine charges.

On September 16, deputies responded to County Road 2060 after reports of a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction. Upon investigation, James Andrew Dawson, 39, of Corinth, was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. His passenger, Hope Michelle Hayes, 38, of Booneville, was also arrested for possession of methamphetamine.

Both appeared before Prentiss County Justice Court Judge Craig Bishop, who set Dawson’s bond at $30,000. Hayes’ bond was set at $5,000, but a hold from the Mississippi Department of Corrections remains in place.
