ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Richard Robson, 39, a longtime repeat offender with numerous prior arrests, has been charged again after a series of vehicle-related crimes in the Rochester area.
Deputy David Marcucci of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reported that Robson stole a work pickup truck from a car dealership on Marsh Road in Perinton on August 15. He also broke into several vehicles on August 25 in a parking lot on West Henrietta Road, stealing items including a credit card, which was later used at a store on Mount Hope Avenue.
Robson was arrested on September 8 and charged with multiple offenses, including third- and fourth-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, second-degree identity theft, and three counts of petit larceny.
He was arraigned and is currently held at Monroe County Jail with no bail set.
According to Marcucci, Robson has a long criminal history, including 29 felony arrests and 16 misdemeanors since 2005. His recent arrests include one on August 18 for stealing items from vehicles outside a business in Avon and another on July 2, 2021, when he was caught breaking into vehicles on Chiswick Drive in Riga.
Robson’s persistent criminal activity highlights ongoing concerns for public safety in the region.
