HUNTSVILLE, AL — A 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an armed robbery that occurred last month in Hartselle, according to Hartselle Police.
Authorities say Keilyn Alex Speegle approached a victim in the parking lot of a business on 240 Highway 31 Northwest on the evening of August 26. Speegle allegedly entered the victim’s vehicle, brandished a firearm, and demanded money.
The victim complied, and Speegle is accused of taking cash at gunpoint before fleeing the scene.
Following the incident, investigators developed Speegle as a suspect. Police say evidence gathered during the investigation supported the victim’s account, leading to his arrest.
Speegle was taken into custody on Wednesday and charged with Robbery – 1st Degree. He is currently being held in the Morgan County Jail on a $30,000 bond.
