New Braunfels, TX — Police have arrested Michael Dean Hicks, 58, of Schertz, for robbing a Chase Bank branch, officials confirmed.
The incident occurred at noon on Wednesday at the Chase Bank on Texas 46 near Loop 337. Hicks reportedly handed a teller a note demanding money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Detectives identified Hicks as the suspect and served an arrest warrant at his Schertz residence on Thursday morning. Authorities recovered both the stolen cash and the note used during the robbery.
Hicks was taken into custody at the Comal County Jail where he remains held. Bail has not been set.
He faces a charge of robbery, a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine upon conviction.
